How we collect, use, and protect your information when you use HK Pickup Points

The App provides the Service to merchants who use Shopify to power their stores. This Privacy Policy describes how we collect, use, and share information when you install or use the App in connection with your Shopify-supported store.

Information We Collect

When you install the App, we receive information from Shopify needed to operate the App, including your store name, store URL, contact email, and plan details. We also store your App settings, subscription details, custom retail store locations you add, and messages you send through our contact form. On your storefront, customers can browse pickup points (including SF Express and other supported carrier locations, as well as your custom retail stores). When a customer selects a pickup point, that choice is used in the browser to pre-fill the Shopify checkout shipping address; we do not store customer orders or pickup selections on our servers. If a customer uses location-based search, their device may send latitude and longitude to our servers to find nearby pickup points; we use this only to return results and do not retain it. We may also collect technical information such as IP address, browser type, and server logs when you or your customers interact with the App.

How We Use Information

We use the information we collect to provide, operate, and improve the App; to keep your shop settings and pickup point listings up to date; to respond to support requests; to monitor performance and security; and to comply with legal obligations. We do not sell your personal information.

Information Sharing

We may share information with service providers who help us operate the App (such as hosting, mapping, and geocoding providers including Mapbox and Google), when required by law, or to protect our rights and the safety of our users. These providers are permitted to use the information only to perform services on our behalf. We may also share information with Shopify as needed to provide app functionality through the Shopify platform.

Data Retention

We retain information for as long as your store has the App installed and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and comply with legal requirements. When you uninstall the App, we delete or anonymize store-related data within a reasonable period, unless we are required to retain it by law.

Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict the processing of your personal information. Merchants can contact us to exercise these rights. If you are a customer of a Shopify store using our App, please contact the store owner directly for order-related requests; we do not store customer order or checkout data on our servers.

Security

We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post the updated policy on this page and update the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
